Blot, don’t rub. Press a clean towel down to lift as much moisture as you can, then keep air moving over the spot so it doesn’t stay damp in our climate. Skip the drugstore enzyme sprays and homemade mixes on a good rug — some set stains or move dyes, and they rarely reach the foundation anyway.
